European giant toy maker Simba Dickie group now in India

Simba Dickie Group one of the world’s largest toy Company is all set to capture the hearts of Indians. Simba Toys offers over 3000 SKU’s of toys which include product ranges from World of Toys, Art & Fun, Deluxe by Dickie, Eichhorn, Smoby and many more. Now with a head office in Mumbai the company is enthusiastic about its foray in the Indian market.

With the organized toy market in India presently valued at Rs.1,500 crore, Simba Toys plans to enter Indian toy market phase-wise capturing modern store outlets and shop-in shop outlets on a PAN India level. Currently Simba Toys are importing toys and distributing it to major retailers like Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloon, Big Bazaar, Landmark, Hamelys, Odyssey, Mom & Me etc in India.

Speaking on the launch Mr. Ben Nabert, CEO, Simba Toys India commented “We are very excited about our entry in Indian market. Globally we are present in more than 20 countries and now our focus is towards emerging markets. Factors such as increasing spend on kids; emergence of the nuclear family and increased awareness towards early childhood has made India a key focus market for us. Simba has acquired the global license from ICC for the Cricket World Cup in 2011 to be held in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
